It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!!!

Lisa and Gene are Maui Bound

You knew it was coming, right?  They couldn’t have both kids in Maui and not end up there eventually! Lisa and Gene are going to be spending extended periods of time in Hawaii with their children.  So we have added a new member of our team, who will be taking over all of the Gene duties!  Please help welcome our friend for the last 6 years, Peter Freeman – just call him Pete!

All About Pete

Pete is a proud father of three to Carrie, Cameron and Grace; and a granddad to Carson who is 4 years old!  He arrived in Florida back in 1975 for a tryout with the Minnesota Twins. He fell in love with Orlando and has lived here most of the past 27 years. Here is the fun fact:  He has worked in the restaurant biz in one capacity or another since he was 11 years old! He has been a prep cook, a waiter/barman, a Food & Beverage Director with a large hotel chain, and a sales representative for a large beverage distributor.

His passion for wine and food makes him a perfect fit for The Attic Door!  Pete is a Certified Sommelier with The Court of Master Sommeliers, studying for the Society of Wine Educators certifications as well.  His specialty is letting people in on the “inside secrets” of the wine industry and guiding them toward amazing values, private labels and secret projects that famous winemakers do on the side.  So now is a really great time to be in the Wine Club!  Pete will definitely kick it up a notch!

And look for a few changes in the food menu too, as Pete gets a handle on our kitchen and what it is capable of!  Expect amazing things!

Party to Welcome Pete – Wednesday, December 12 – 430 to  730pm

Stop in and welcome Pete to The Attic Door team on Wednesday, 12/12.  We will have complimentary snacks and drinks and you will have an opportunity to meet Pete and learn a little more about him.  Don’t miss it!

New Year’s Eve inside The Attic Door

Speaking of amazing things, Pete and Chef Corwin have developed an incredible New Year’s Eve experience for you.  Due to the success of our Wine Pairing Event on New Year’s Eve last year, we are bringing it back for another round and it will be the best ever!  For just $50 per person, enjoy a 4-course tasting menu paired with great wines!  And don’t worry; there will definitely be chocolate and bubbles at the end!  We will have fantastic Live Music as well.  The Wine Pairing will begin at 730pm and we have room for 32, so make your reservation today!  After the pairing, plan to hang around and listen to great music, then ring in the New Year.
